UPS Mail Innovation Developer Guide and API Credentials

Overview

This developer guide will show how you can get access UPS Mail Innovation (UPS MI) shipping API via AfterShip Shipping, and UPS Web/XML services. You can also see the list of required API credentials and keys for UPS MI integration.

Get UPS Mail Innovation Developer Credentials

Get your UPS shipper account number from UPS local sales team.
Input your account number and shipper address in AfterShip Shipping. Make sure the address you are adding is exactly the same as your address in the UPS system.
In the UPS Account Authentication section, input your recent invoice information in AfterShip Shipping so that UPS can verify the account number and invoice info to grant AfterShip Shipping permission to print labels for your UPS account.

Once a UPS Mail Innovations account is created, the account number and address cannot be updated. This is because UPS verifies these details during the account setup to ensure that the account number, address, phone number, and email match the information in their system. If you’ve updated your account details with UPS, please reconnect your UPS account with us to reflect the changes.

Cost Center - Check with your UPS Mail Innovation sales support to setup your Cost Center for billing.
USPS Endorsement - Check with your UPS Mail Innovation sales support to obtain your USPS Endorsement.

Forwarding Service Requested
Address Service Requested
Change Service Requested
No Service Selected
Default to No Service Selected if empty

Tracking number type - Choose the type of tracking number you would like to receive.

Optional values:

UPS Mail Innovation tracking number
USPS tracking number
Default to USPS tracking number if empty
